Inspiration Often it can be hard to find inspiration for writing. I like to find a new approach for community building or social media engagement. You have to find topics that interest people. It gets especially tough when you are a solo freelancer, coming up with your own ideas and no board to give you some. Many people choose to sit around and let it find them. Not me, I seek it out. I get most of my inspiration from radio,tv, reading, conversing with someone intelligent, and surfing the internet. I recently read a new perspective on inspiration and where to find it. Now, I use it every week. It is simple, different, and hard to resist. The concept is to see one element, whether it be a picture, quote, or a word. You build off of it whenever you are ready. The elements that show up in your thoughts are influenced by the people you follow, the other images you like, and additional factors in your life. It makes it so each one of us have a totally different and unique experience about that particular element. The thing about being given an element. It is the first step to concept building. It gives you a moment of inspiration, that offers you creativity but by being inspired by an object or word without limitations and without distractions. When given a few elements, it allows you a few minutes to freshen your mind.
Give it a try sometime, see if it truly inspires new and fresh ideas and elements into your creative writing.
